Are you a patient, resilient, and empathetic individual looking to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs£ A specialist school in Uxbridge (UB8) is seeking a Male SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately, supporting students with complex needs including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

This role offers the chance to work in a nurturing environment that prioritises personalised learning and emotional wellbeing, helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring engagement and progress.
• Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support using therapeutic and structured approaches.
• Support classroom activities, adapt resources, and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to deliver holistic support.
• Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interactions in a safe and inclusive setting.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN in education or care settings.
• Calm, adaptable, and proactive approach with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with patience and consistency.
• Knowledge of autism strategies, sensory needs, and SEMH support techniques.
• Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undertake relevant training.
