One of my leading defence clients is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to support the design and development of high-integrity components and mechanisms for military vehicle systems. The role covers concept design, CAD modelling, prototyping, testing, and documentation, delivering robust solutions for demanding environments.Key Responsibilities:Develop concept and detailed designs using CREO Parametric.Produce engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions.Work with SMEs and design authorities on subsystem solutions.Support prototype build, testing, and design proving.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.Essential Skills and Experience:Experience in the defence sector, ideally with Armoured Fighting Vehicles and related systems.Strong mechanical design background, including complex mechanisms.Proficient in CREO and Windchill.Experience designing for harsh environments.Strong documentation, problem-solving, and coordination skills.Additional Information:On-site presence required on Mondays and Tuesdays One to two interview stages.Feedback on applications typically provided within 2-3 days.
