Senior Platform Engineer (AI) 6 Month Initial Contract Hybrid / East Midlands Outside IRR35 VIQU are supporting a large organisation who are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer (AI) to support the build and evolution of a new AI Platform. This role will focus on designing, implementing and maintaining the foundational cloud infrastructure, governance controls and automation capabilities that enable the secure deployment and scaling of AI solutions across the organisation.Senior Platform Engineer (AI): Role Responsibilities Design, build and maintain Azure landing zones, cloud foundations and platform services that support enterprise AI and cloud workloads.Develop and maintain Terraform modules, Infrastructure-as-Code standards and automated deployment frameworks.Deliver secure, scalable container-based platforms using AKS, Azure Container Apps and Azure Container Registry.Implement cloud networking, security, identity and governance controls in line with enterprise best practices and zero-trust principles.Support the implementation of AI solutions by introducing platform guardrails, observability, monitoring and operational controls.Collaborate with architects, developers and stakeholders whilst mentoring engineers and promoting cloud engineering best practices across the team.
