We are seeking an experienced and strategic

Finance Director

to join our client''s team on a

part-time basis . This is an on-site role with flexible working hours, offering the right candidate the opportunity to play a key leadership role while maintaining work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall financial strategy, planning, and analysis for the business

Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Produce and present timely, insightful management reports

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

Monitor cashflow, working capital, and overall financial performance

Advise the board on financial risk and opportunity

Strengthen financial controls, systems, and compliance

Develop and mentor a small finance team as required

Contribute to operational decision-making and business improvement

Key Skills and Experience

Proven experience in a senior finance role (Finance Director, Financial Controller, or similar)

Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking

Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations

Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling

Confident in using financial systems and Excel

Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders

High attention to detail, integrity, and a proactive mindset

Experience in a growing business environment preferred

Sector experience in winter maintenance or facilities management is a plus

ACCA, CIMA (part or fully qualified), or equivalent senior finance qualifications
