Role: Assistant Commercial ManagerDuration: Initial 3-month contractSalary: £360 p/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella) Location: LondonWorking Pattern: 2 / 3 days This role will be situated in the heart of the London Trams commercial team, and as Assistant Commercial Manager you will support essential procurement activity across a range of infrastructure categories including civils, power, and track. Key Responsibilities: Managing pre-procurement and post-contract activitiesPreparing procurement strategies, governance papers, commercial schedules, and award documentationLeading stakeholder engagement for renewals, competitions and urgent procurement needsSupporting contract management and change controlEnsuring all work complies with the Procurement Act 2023Using systems such as SAP Ariba and SAP R3 for supplier and contract managementMaintaining accurate, auditable records across all procurement processes As Assistant Commercial Manager, you will support the Commercial Manager with end-to-end procurement activity across the Trams network. Key Requirements: CIPS or RICS qualificationBackground in infrastructure, transport, rail or public sector procurementProven experience on pre-procurement and post-contract activitiesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience using procurement systems such as SAP
