Production Manager Leicester Negotiable depending on your experience Days, Permanent We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead operations at our fabrication facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, health and safety, team performance, and job-level financial management. You will also play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and modern production planning strategies. Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day fabrication and manufacturing activities to meet production targets and quality standards. Ensure timely delivery of projects, balancing workload and capacity across departments. Drive continuous improvement in output, efficiency, and quality. Implement and manage robust production planning, including Heijunka (production leveling), Kanban (pull systems), and material control practices. Ensure full compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and internal policies. Promote a culture of safety and proactive risk management. Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks. Recruit, train, and retain skilled team members in production roles. Manage attendance, discipline, and performance, conducting regular reviews and appraisals. Foster a high performing, engaged, and accountable team culture. Prepare accurate cost estimates for work and lead issuing quotations in with the input from procurement and manufacturing team.
