MEICA Project Manager - Wastewater Treatment Projects

Salary: £75,000-£85,000 + car allowance and bonus

Are you an experienced MEICA Project Manager with a background delivering water or wastewater treatment projects?
I''m currently recruiting for a growing engineering contractor delivering major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK. They are looking to appoint an experienced MEICA Project Manager to take responsibility for the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation elements of projects from design through construction, commissioning and final handover.

Job Role
As MEICA Project Manager, you will lead the MEICA delivery across one major project or a portfolio of smaller schemes, working closely with civil, process, design and commercial teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Managing MEICA works from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover.
·Leading site teams, subcontractors and suppliers across the MEICA package.
·Ensuring projects are delivered safely and in line with all HSQE requirements.
·Working closely with clients, consultants, designers and other project stakeholders.
·Coordinating MEICA activities alongside civil, structural and process engineering teams.
·Managing project programmes, identifying risks and opportunities and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
·Monitoring project performance against programme, budget and quality requirements.
·Supporting the procurement of materials, equipment and specialist subcontract packages.
·Working alongside commercial teams to manage project costs, cashflow and interim applications.
·Producing regular project updates covering programme, commercial performance, risk and HSQE.
·Supporting commissioning, process proving and final project handover.
·Mentoring and supporting junior members of the project team.
·Contributing to tendering and pre-construction activities for future schemes.
·Maintaining strong client relationships and resolving any project issues efficiently.
·Identifying lessons learned and opportunities to improve future project delivery.
Requirements
·3-5+ years'' experience working in a Project Manager or similar project delivery role.
·Previous experience within the water or wastewater sector is highly desirable.
·Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental Engineering or another relevant discipline.
·Strong understanding of MEICA works including:
oMechanical process installations
oElectrical installations
oControl panels
oInstrumentation and automation
oCommissioning
oProcess proving
·Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
·Good commercial awareness with experience supporting financial negotiations and final accounts.
·Experience preparing and managing construction programmes.
·Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar planning software.
·Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements.
·Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues throughout project delivery.
·Strong client-facing and communication skills.
·Full UK driving licence.
