Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking Alternative Provision in Wellingborough, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS4 Tutor to join their team.

This specialist setting supports Key Stage 4 students who thrive in smaller, more personalised learning environments. The school is committed to helping young people re-engage with education and build the confidence and practical skills they need for the future.

As a Tutor within this provision, you will deliver Functional Skills lessons to small groups of students, with class sizes capped at just six learners. This allows you to provide focused support, build strong relationships, and tailor your teaching to individual learning needs. You will also be supported in the classroom by a Teaching Assistant, enabling a collaborative approach to behaviour management, engagement and differentiated learning.

The ideal candidate will be a patient, resilient and enthusiastic educator who understands the importance of creating a positive and structured learning environment for students who may have faced barriers in mainstream education. Experience working with alternative provision, SEMH needs, or students requiring additional behavioural or pastoral support would be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Functional Skills lessons to KS4 learners

• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs

• Work collaboratively with a Teaching Assistant to support students

• Foster a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment

• Support students in developing confidence, independence and employability skills
