A Teaching Assistant (TA) supports teachers and helps children with their educational and social development. Main responsibilities include:

• Supporting students one to one or in small groups.
• helping children who need extra support to complete tasks.
• assisting teachers to plan learning activities and complete records.
• supporting teachers in managing classroom behaviour.
• supervising group activities.
• providing support to children with SEND
• clearing away materials and equipment after lessons

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Relevant or equivalent teaching assistant qualification
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong subject knowledge
• Good understanding of the British Curriculum
• High standards of classroom practice
• Ability to work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues
