Purchasing and Operations AssistantIntroduction:We are seeking a motivated and organised Purchasing and Operations Assistant to join our clients dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining efficient operational processes, contributing to the overall success of the company.The role is working 32 hours per week over 4 or 5 days but must include a Friday.Normal office hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-4pm Friday.Key Responsibilities:- Raise purchase orders for raw materials based on the bill of materials for each project, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained- Liaise with relationship managers to coordinate the timely delivery of purchased items- Generate new work orders based on project quotes and manage the delivery and installation schedule- Prepare delivery notes and create driver job lists to facilitate smooth logistics- Assist with booking accommodation for installation teams on overnight assignments- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to purchasing and operationsEssential Requirements:- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment- Demonstrable experience in a similar purchasing or operations role, preferably in a manufacturing setting- Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Sage 50, would be an advantage- Ability to work independently and take initiative to sol
