Landscape Sales / Estimator
Location: Hampshire (near Southampton)
Salary: Base salary dependent on experience + Commission + Bonus
Hours: Monday-Friday
Residential Landscaping | Estimating | Sales | Garden Construction
Are you from a landscaping background with a good understanding of garden construction, estimating and project delivery?
I''m working with an established landscaping business in Hampshire that''s looking for someone to join its sales and estimating team, following the retirement of a long-serving member of staff.
This is a varied, customer-facing role where you''ll be involved in projects from the initial enquiry through to quotation, securing the work and overseeing delivery.
It''s a good opportunity for someone who enjoys the commercial side of landscaping but still wants to stay involved with the projects themselves.
The Role
You''ll be joining an established team, working predominantly on residential landscaping projects.
You''ll meet customers, understand what they''re looking to achieve, put together accurate quotations and help turn enquiries into confirmed work.
Day to day, you''ll be involved in:
Meeting customers on site to discuss their garden and landscaping requirements
Preparing estimates and quotations for residential landscaping projects
Selling projects and managing customer relationships
Advising customers on construction methods, materials and practical solutions
Working with the wider landscaping team to ensure projects are delivered successfully
Overseeing projects from initial enquiry through to completion
Supporting garden design work where required
Managing costs and helping to maintain healthy project margins
You''ll be working closely with the Landscape Manager and the wider team, with a good mix of office work, customer meetings and site visits.
About You
The most important thing is a good understanding of landscaping construction and how to price projects accurately.
You could already be working as a Landscape Estimator, Sales Manager or Project Manager, or you might be an experienced Landscaper or Site Manager looking to move into a more commercial role.
Ideally, you''ll have:
A solid background in residential landscaping and garden construction
Experience estimating or quoting for landscaping projects
A good understanding of materials, labour costs and construction methods
The confidence to meet customers, discuss their requirements and sell projects
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries
A practical approach to problem solving
Garden design experience would be beneficial, but isn''t essential
You don''t need to be a qualified garden designer. The priority is finding someone who understands how landscaping projects are built, what they cost and how to deliver them profitably.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary
2.5% commission on sales generated
Additional gross profit bonus
Monday-Friday working week
Established team and existing customer enquiries
Variety of residential landscaping projects
Opportunity to take ownership of projects from enquiry through to completion
