This is a hands-on role combining payroll delivery with people management and service oversight.The role:Support the Payroll Manager with day-to-day payroll operations and team leadershipOversee service delivery, accuracy and SLA performanceManage, coach and develop payroll team membersAct as a deputy point of contact for escalations and workflow managementContribute to process improvements and ongoing projectsAbout you:Proven payroll experience (pensions experience beneficial but not essential)Previous deputy, supervisory or team-lead experienceStrong attention to detail and confidence managing workloads and deadlinesComfortable working with systems and ExcelAble to attend the office full-time for the first 6 months for training (hybrid thereafter, potentially sooner depending on progress)This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll professional ready to step into a deputy-level role with clear responsibility and development.
