Hackney Youth Justice Service is a multi-agency team located within Children''s Services working in partnership with professionals from the council, police, London Probation Trust, and health partners to support young people throughout their Court Order and steer them away from further crime and anti-social behaviour. As a member of the Youth Justice Business Support Team you will directly support Youth Justice Practitioners, Officers and Managers with complex tasks requiring a wide range of administrative and IT skills, an eagerness to get things right first time and attention to detail. The tasks will include but are not limited to; welcoming young people to reception, preparing papers and files for court, accessing and accurately updating databases, processing finance requests, document management, tracking referrals, as well as undertaking a range of internal and external communication. You will also be expected to support minute taking, navigate multiple complex systems, monitor generic inboxes and respond to emails, and prepare correspondence. You will need a working knowledge or transferable skills that equip you with knowledge of the Youth Justice and criminal court functions as this is a key responsibility for this role. You will be required to prepare information for children appearing in court and accurately interpret and record court outcomes onto the ChildView Youth Justice (CVYJ) database.
