Baby Room Nursery Practitioner L3

Location: Blackheath

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently looking to recruit a  Nursery Practitioner  to join our baby room for a private nursery based in Blackheath, South East London

The room cares for children aged 9 months to 18 months, and we are looking for practitioners who are warm, nurturing and confident in supporting babies’ development, care and learning.

The role:

• Full-time, permanent position

• 35 hours per week

• 4 working days, 8am–6pm

• 1 non-working day each week

• Salary dependent on qualification and experience

• Ideally Level 3 qualified, although we would also consider suitable Level 2 practitioners

• Previous experience working with babies would be highly desirable

We are looking for practitioners who are genuinely passionate about working with young children and who can build strong relationships with both children and families.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be:

• Creating a warm, safe and nurturing environment where babies can thrive
• Building strong, meaningful relationships with babies and their families
• Planning and joining in with fun, stimulating activities and experiences
• Supporting children's learning and development through the EYFS
• Observing children closely and celebrating their progress and achievements
• Working closely with parents and carers to provide the best possible care
• Keeping the room safe, clean, organised and welcoming
• Being a supportive and positive member of our Baby Room team

You’ll need:

• A Level 3 or above childcare qualification
• A good understanding of the EYFS and child development
• Experience working with children, ideally babies
• A warm, patient and nurturing approach
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A good understanding of safeguarding and health & safety
• Lots of energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved!
