The successful Business Development Lead will take responsibility for identifying and developing new commercial opportunities within Defence markets - following up on opportunities by developing proposals, supporting clients during project delivery; identifying potential business partners through networking as well as keeping up to date on issues affecting the defence market.You may have started your career within the Army, Navy or RAF; you may have been working within a technical role closely related to the Defence industry in areas such as radar, RF, surveillance systems or you may have been involved with maritime/marine technology - then moved into Business Development or Sales.
