Service Engineer

- Salary: £27,000 - £45,000 OTE (based on experience)
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 17:00 + weekend availability (as required)
- Benefits: 24 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, life assurance, company van and mobile phone

Our client, a well-established family-run business in agricultural machinery, is looking for an Agricultural Service Engineer to join their Stratford depot. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading brands such as JCB Agriculture, Amazone, McHale, Lemken, and Sumo while providing high-quality servicing and repairs to customers.

Key Responsibilities within this Service Engineer role:

- Service and maintain JCB and other agricultural machinery to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain faults.
- Use diagnostic software (training provided).
- Identify machine defects and recommend additional services where needed.
- Maintain detailed service reports with supporting documentation.
- Work with GPS, Telematics, and machine controllers.
- Carry out welding and fabrication work when required.
- Prepare machinery for shows, open days, and events.
- Attend manufacturer training sessions to stay up to date with the latest technology.

Requirements as a Service Engineer:

- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience in servicing and repairing agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction machinery.
- Relevant qualification in Land-Based Engineering (preferred but not essential).
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Strong time management and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
