We''re recruiting for a Sea Freight Import Operator to join a large, global freight forwarding business in Manchester. This is an opportunity to join an established company with a friendly, supportive team who genuinely enjoy working together. They''re looking for someone with experience in sea freight imports who can manage shipments from start to finish, provide excellent customer service and work well as part of a busy operations team. The Role Manage sea freight import shipments from booking through to final delivery Handle FCL and LCL shipments Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers Prepare and process shipping documentation Coordinate customs clearance and delivery arrangements Monitor shipments and keep customers updated on progress Resolve operational issues and ensure shipments run smoothly Maintain accurate records and provide a high standard of customer service What We''re Looking For Previous experience in sea freight import operations within a freight forwarder Good understanding of end-to-end sea freight import processes Knowledge of shipping documentation and customs procedures Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and overseas agents Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively A positive, proactive approach and willingness to support colleagues Someone who enjoys working as part of a friendly, collaborative team What''s on Offer Salary up to ..... full job details .....
