Your Role as a CAMHS Consultant

As a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist in our CAMHS team, you will provide expert inpatient psychiatric care for young people and contribute to high-quality service delivery through clinical leadership and collaboration with our wider MDT.

Key responsibilities include:

Clinical:

Acting as Consultant and Responsible Clinician for CAMHS inpatientsLeading on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning processWorking collaboratively with patients, carers, and external agenciesChairing MDT and CPA meetingsPreparing reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and Managers HearingsContributing to clinical governance and continuous service improvementManagement:

Providing clinical leadership in partnership with the Ward ManagerSupporting regulatory compliance and quality standards on the wardAttending monthly CAMHS governance meetings and contributing to service developmentAcademic:Participating in monthly academic meetingsDelivering case presentations and teaching sessionsEngaging in audit, research, and quality improvement projectsWhat We Offer
