Must hold an Enhanced DBS We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and well-organised Science Technician to join our successful Science Department in a thriving secondary school in East Dulwich.The successful candidate will provide high-quality technical and practical support to teachers and students across the Science Department, helping to ensure that practical lessons are safe, well prepared and engaging. You will play an important role in supporting the delivery of Biology, Chemistry and Physics across the school.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical interest in science who enjoys working in an educational environment and wants to contribute to students'' learning and development.Key Responsibilities Prepare and set up equipment, chemicals, specimens and other resources for practical science lessons.Provide technical support to teaching staff during practical lessons, as required.Ensure that laboratories, preparation rooms and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition.Maintain appropriate stocks of chemicals, equipment, consumables and other science resources.Monitor stock levels and order supplies in accordance with school procedures and budget requirements.Safely store, handle and dispose of chemicals and other hazardous materials in line with relevant regulations and school policies.Carry out routine checks, maintenance and basic repairs of scientific equipment.Assist with the preparation and organisation of ..... full job details .....
