Swindon Borough Council is seeking a qualified professional for an interim position with a pay rate of £57 per hour. The role is set for a duration of 36 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Essential Requirements CIPS qualification. Experience in procurement work within the public sector. Certification in the new Procurement Act 2023. Role Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end tendering of projects. This is not a strategic, development, or management role. Only candidates with public sector experience in end-to-end tendering will be considered. Re-procurement of the managed stores, currently contracted to Travis Perkins. This project requires updating stock lists and is expected to take 6-9 months. Handling complex procurement tasks, including the possibility of creating bespoke framework contracts without utilizing third-party frameworks. Work Location The role requires presence at the Waterside Park office at least 2 days per week, potentially more during the managed stores contract work. Fully remote candidates will not be considered.
