In the role you will safely bench, fit, finish and repair forging dies and associated tooling to the required specifications and surface standards. The role involves the accurate removal, blending and polishing of material so that tooling is ready for production, while maintaining dimensional integrity, quality, safety and delivery requirements.DutiesBench, fit, finish and polish forging dies and associated tooling to the required drawings and specifications.Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, rotary equipment and polishing media safely and effectively.Remove machining marks, blend radii and profiles, and achieve the specified surface finish without compromising dimensional accuracy.Carry out die spotting, blueing and fitting activities to confirm correct contact and alignment between die halves.Use measuring equipment and gauges to check dimensions, profiles and tooling condition throughout the benching process.Inspect dies for cracks, wear, damage or other defects and report any concerns promptly.ExperiencePrevious experience in die work or toolmaking within an engineering/manufacturing business.Knowledge of tooling, dies and ..... full job details .....
