About the Company

A well-established and highly respected specialist contractor with a turnover in excess of -10 million is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in Carlisle.

Operating across the commercial construction sector, the business delivers high-quality interior fit-out, refurbishment, and specialist finishing projects throughout the UK. With a strong reputation for quality, repeat business, and long-standing client relationships, the company continues to secure major projects across a variety of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, leisure, and residential developments.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the commercial aspects of interior fit-out and refurbishment projects from pre-construction through to final account
• Preparing and managing project budgets, valuations, and cost reports
• Producing accurate CVRs and financial forecasts
• Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and accounts
• Identifying and managing variations and change control procedures
• Supporting the operational team to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to programme
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
• Assisting with risk management and contractual matters
• Ensuring commercial processes and procedures are maintained throughout the project lifecycle

The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
• A strong background in interior fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Good knowledge of standard forms of contract
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• A proactive and organised approach to work
• Full UK driving licence

• Basic salary of -45,000 - -65,000 depending on experience
