An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an engineering business developing advanced machinery and automated manufacturing solutions for the composites industry.As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will design and develop specialist machinery, supporting projects from initial concepts through to equipment build, testing and commissioning.This full-time role based in Saltash offers salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 and benefits. You should be based within commuting distance of the Saltash office and be willing to undertake UK and international travel as requiredPrevious experience in the composites industry is not essential, as training will be provided on the relevant technology and processes.You will be responsible for:Researching and developing design concepts, technical drawings and specifications using appropriate software.Identifying engineering solutions and recommending designs to meet project and client requirements.Maintaining technical drawings, creating part numbers and updating the MRP system.Preparing supporting technical documentation and drawings for feasibility assessments and cost estimates.Providing practical support during equipment assembly, fault-finding, testing and commissioning, both in-house and at client sites.Delivering technical training to clients'' engineers and operators, alongside telephone and email support.Advising clients on technical equipment enquiries and product development, while keeping up to date with ..... full job details .....
