SV Care is recruiting a
Senior Residential Support Worker
for our Ofsted registered children’s residential provision within Romford. The home has been operational since 2022 and benefits from a highly dedicated, passionate and experienced staff team. We are looking for one additional staff member to join this outstanding team on a permanent basis.We’re looking to recruit passionate, dedicated individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in our society who’ve experienced neglect, abuse and trauma. As a result of these early life experiences, the young people that we will care for may, at times, display challenging behaviours. You will need to be resilient and dedicated enough to manage such behaviours while continuing to provide unconditional care, advice and support.Responsibilities
Supporting young people to engage in educationEnsuring young people’s health needs are metProviding advice, support and guidanceManaging complex behaviours and crisis interventionAdministering and recording medicationMaintaining daily records and administrative workContributing to the care planning processLiaising with external stakeholders and our multi-disciplinary teamAttending mandatory trainingEngaging in team meetingsMaintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking etc)Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: Supervisory 1 year (required); Residential Childcare 1 year (required)Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (required)Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (preferred)Other: A passion for working with children and young people; true team player; leadership ability; resilience and flexibility; willingness to learn and adapt; reliabilityDBS and reference checking will be undertaken and paid for by SV Care Services, in line with government regulation and safer recruitment best practices.Benefits
