CJS Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Physics Lecturer to join a well-established further education college in West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable Physics Lecturer to inspire students, deliver engaging lessons and support learners in developing their scientific knowledge and understanding.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality theoretical and practical teaching, helping students achieve their academic goals and progress towards further education or employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons to students across relevant qualification levels.

• Teach theoretical concepts and practical scientific principles.

• Prepare lesson plans, presentations, learning resources and practical experiments.

• Make complex scientific topics accessible and engaging for students.

• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.

• Support learners with their academic development and achievement.

• Prepare students for examinations and coursework assessments.

• Maintain a safe and organised classroom and laboratory environment.

• Ensure all teaching activities comply with health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Physics or a closely related scientific subject.

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Physics principles.

• Previous teaching or lecturing experience within Further Education would be advantageous.

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) would be desirable.

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Ability to deliver engaging lessons to students with different learning abilities.

• Passion for education and supporting student development.

• Relevant industry or academic experience will also be considered.
