Reporting to the CEO, you’ll work closely with the wider Beams team, including the CEO, designers, architects, planners, product managers and engineers, to create an efficient and value-additive finance function.Responsibilities

Managing the day-to-day finance operations including bookkeeping, supplier payments, contractor payments, statutory accounts, VAT and payrollManaging financial data, including our financial modelPrepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries. Act as the first point of contact for external auditors and accounting firms.Supporting the team in the budgeting and forecasting process. Leading analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and making recommendations to the leadership teamContinually identify risks and financial process improvements; propose solutions where necessary and effectively drive change. Experience with system improvement and AIDealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.Working closely with the leadership team on any fundraising process or other investor relationsBuild commercial analysis for assessing business performance and project profitabilityPreparation of financial statementsKPI reportingCollaborating with departments through business partneringEssential qualifications

You are a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT), with 3+ years of post-qualification experienceExperience working in a startup or other high growth companyStrong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to think fastYou’re an expert in Excel and/or Google SheetsExperience with accounting software, in particular XeroYou’re able to challenge teams on existing processes and provide innovative solutions to enhance efficiencyStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards tackling challengesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate within a team environmentExperience managing a teamA personal interest in sustainability and creating a greener environment is a plusDesirable
