Our client a global, multi-strategy investment firm with over $21 billion in assets under management is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join its London-based team for a 6 month contract. This is a hands-on engineering role with exposure to a wide range of technologies, offering the opportunity to shape the infrastructure of a world-class trading environment.Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain a multi-vendor, global network infrastructure.Manage firewall systems and enhance network security practices.Partner with technology and investment teams to deliver scalable, secure network solutions.Conduct network capacity planning and performance tuning.Define and enforce network security standards.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues.Participate in 24/7 on-call support and out-of-hours maintenance.Ideal Candidate Profile

Deep expertise with

Palo Alto firewalls

Git , and network automation.Excellent understanding of network protocols such as

BGP ,

OSPF ,

PIM , and

IGMP .Experience with cloud networking, particularly in

AWS

and

Azure .Proven ability to troubleshoot advanced networking issues.Bonus Points For

Experience with

Cisco Meraki

products.Familiarity with enterprise voice platforms (e.g., Cisco CUCM, Zoom Phone, WebEx Calling, Cloud9).Certifications like

PCNSE

or
