Special Educational Needs Teacher
About the school:
An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in Sevenoaks is seeking an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs teacher to join its dedicated SEND provision. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Special Educational Needs teacher, or someone with a primary school teaching background to work within a specialist unit supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
The provision is part of a growing specialist offering developed in partnership with the local authority, initially supporting younger pupils and now expanding across additional year groups. It provides a highly personalised, nurturing environment where learning is tailored to meet individual needs.
About the role:
The curriculum is topic-based and combines practical, engaging learning experiences with a strong emphasis on developing social communication, attention, and interaction skills. There is also a clear focus on sensory development, behaviour support, and play-based learning. Each pupil benefits from an individualised package of support to ensure they can access learning in a meaningful and effective way.
The school itself is a welcoming and community-focused environment with a strong ethos centred on inclusion, respect, and high expectations for all. Staff are committed to ensuring every child is supported to achieve their full potential in a caring and positive setting.
This role would suit someone who:
Has a strong interest or background in SEND, particularly autism

What is offered:

High-quality professional development and clear career progression pathways
Access to specialist support and expertise in SEND, behaviour, and pupil wellbeing
A strong focus on staff wellbeing, including access to an Employee Assistance Programme
Additional staff benefits, including childcare support and social events
