Essential Skills Tutor Salary: £25,704 £27,316Location: Cardiff / Head OfficeContract: Full-time, permanentHours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 4:30pmAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced Essential Skills Tutor to join an established training and education organisation in Cardiff.The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to apprenticeship learners throughout their programmes, helping them develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed. You will be responsible for delivering training and assessment against the requirements of the relevant awarding body for Essential Skills Wales, covering Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy.Key Responsibilities Deliver Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy support through workshops and one-to-one sessions. Support learners to achieve Essential Skills qualifications and meet programme framework requirements. Register, conduct and invigilate controlled tasks in accordance with awarding body requirements. Prepare, deliver and assess learning activities, including marking and participation in standardisation events. Engage with learners and employers to support qualification achievement and skills development. Maintain high standards of quality in line with internal and external quality assurance requirements. Maintain accurate records of assessment and learner progress. Ensure learner documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.
