Role: CNC EDM MachinistLocation: DraytonSalary: Up to 38,000 depending on experienceHours: 40 hours per weekOvertime: Available at time and a halfMy client is recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their busy engineering and manufacturing business.This is a varied, hands-on machining role that would suit an experienced CNC Machinist, Toolmaker or EDM Machinist with a strong background in precision engineering.The key requirement is hands on experience with both Wire EDM and Die Sink/Spark EDM, alongside a broader CNC machining background. Responsibilities:Setting, programming and operating Wire EDM and Die Sink/Spark EDM machinesSetting and operating CNC/semi-CNC machineryProducing one-off and precision components and toolingProgramming directly at the machineWorking from detailed engineering drawingsCarrying out your own inspection and quality checksReverse engineering components and tooling where requiredUsing mathematics, geometry and trigonometry to calculate dimensions and machining requirementsMonitoring machine condition and carrying out basic maintenance and troubleshootingManaging your own workload and taking jobs through from setup to completion Skills and experience:Essential:Previous hands-on experience with Wire EDMPrevious hands-on experience with Die Sink/Spark EDMCNC machining experienceAbility to set, programme and operate machineryAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsAbility to carry out own inspection and quality checksGood ..... full job details .....
