Job Opportunity: Design and Technology Teacher | Secondary School andndash; Watford | May Half-Term / September Start | Paid to Scale
Are you a passionate and creative Design and Technology teacher looking to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers£ Supply Desk is currently seeking a dedicated DT teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Watford.
This is a full-time role, starting after the May half-term or in September, offering an exciting opportunity to teach students across a range of DT disciplines in a supportive and engaging environment.

Role andamp; Responsibilities:
- Teach Design and Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students KS5 if able), delivering engaging lessons across a variety of specialisms.
- Develop and implement exciting project-based learning activities, incorporating both theoretical and practical elements of DT.
- Support and guide students in designing, making, and evaluating their own products, promoting creativity and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with the DT department and other teaching staff to develop innovative curriculum resources.
- Maintain a safe and organised classroom, ensuring students follow health and safety guidelines.
- Encourage students to develop a passion for Design and Technology while supporting their personal growth.
£ The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified teacher with QTS and experience in teaching Design and Technology (specialism in Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Textiles is desirable).
- Have a strong understanding of the DT curriculum at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Be creative, with a passion for inspiring students to engage in hands-on learning.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and be able to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Have strong communication skills and be comfortable liaising with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting studentsandrsquo; individual learning needs.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check.
