TRIA are supporting a well-known, high-profile organisation in the search for a Data Engineering Lead to help transform how data is used across the business.

This is an opportunity for a senior, hands-on Data Engineer to step into a role with genuine ownership and influence. You''ll be the lead data specialist within the organisation, responsible for evolving the data platform, shaping the data strategy, and building a modern data capability.

What you''ll be doing:

• Taking ownership of the organisation''s data platform and Snowflake environment.
• Designing, building and optimising data pipelines and integrations across multiple business systems.
• Improving data quality, reliability, performance and monitoring.
• Bringing fragmented data together to create a scalable and trusted data ecosystem.
• Defining data architecture, standards, governance and security controls.
• Working closely with senior technology leadership to shape the long-term data roadmap.
• Collaborating with third-party partners as the business transitions more data ownership in-house.

What we are looking for:

• Strong hands-on Data Engineering experience in modern cloud-based environments.
• Experience with Snowflake and building scalable data platforms.
• Expertise in data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing.
• Good understanding of data governance, security and best practice.
• Previous experience mentoring, leading or developing team members.
• Comfortable operating autonomously and acting as the senior data authority within a business.
• Someone who enjoys solving complex problems and building capability where none previously existed.
