Sous Chef - Hotel and Events VenueLocation: Lingfield, SurreyJob Type: PermanentHours: 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.The OpportunityWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established hotel and events venue for an experienced and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join their kitchen team.Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food across multiple dining outlets, events, banqueting functions, and hospitality services. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef looking to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced and diverse hospitality environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Head Chef in the smooth running of all kitchen operations.Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency standards.Assist with menu planning and development, ensuring dishes reflect current food trends and customer expectations.Control food costs, stock levels, waste, and portion sizes to achieve budgetary targets.Assist with purchasing and supplier management within agreed budgets.Conduct and support stock takes and inventory management.Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards are consistently met.Monitor food production from preparation through to service, maintaining quality control at every stage.Support the delivery of banqueting, events, restaurant, and hospitality ..... full job details .....
