Position: Plumber
Location: Council Offices, Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TX
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3+ Months - This position is Monday - Thursday 8am -4pm & Fridays 8am -3.30pm
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance in council tenanted properties.
• Diagnose plumbing faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Undertake a range of plumbing maintenance tasks, ensuring work is safe and compliant with relevant standards.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service to tenants.
• Complete work to a high-quality finish, taking pride in workmanship.
• Work effectively as part of the repairs and maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any further issues identified.
• Follow health and safety procedures, council policies and safe working practices.
• Respond to repair requests and complete work within required timescales.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and appropriate condition.

• Standard plumbing qualification or substantial practical plumbing experience.
• Strong practical plumbing and maintenance skills.
• Experience carrying out reactive repairs, preferably within residential or social housing properties.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• High standard of workmanship with strong attention to detail.
• Customer-focused approach and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and able to manage a daily workload effectively.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
