Legal Assistant
Service Care Solutions, are currently recruiting on behalf of a high-profile public inquiry for 3 Legal Assistant to join the Core Participant Funding team within the Covid-19 Inquiry. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful, large-scale legal work while gaining exposure across a wider legal team. This role will primarily focus on Core Participant Funding activities, with occasional opportunities to support broader legal operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess Core Participant billing, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely deliveryProvide occasional management of the Core Participant Funding mailboxWork collaboratively with Shared Services to support efficient and effective document redactionAssist the wider legal team with ad hoc tasks, including providing cover where requiredEssential CriteriaProven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and remain composed under pressureStrong understanding of handling sensitive and confidential information in line with legal standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and research capabilitiesAbility to take clear, accurate notes and identify key actions from complex meetingsDesirable SkillsKnowledge of Scots lawPrevious experience working within a public inquiry or similar environmentWorking Arrangements This is a hybrid role based in Edinburgh. You will be expected to work a minimum of two days per week in the office, with the remainder of your time working remotely
