The Role

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

• Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and learning.

• Supporting pupils with their communication, social skills and emotional development.

• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Providing personal care where required.

• Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning.

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.

• A patient, caring and understanding approach.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.

• A genuine passion for supporting children''s development and wellbeing.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

• Two professional references.

• The right to work in the UK.
