We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a construction project in Wakefield, on a contract basis through to June 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a busy project team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the scheme.

• Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of the project.
• Coordinating subcontractors and site activities.
• Monitoring progress, quality and health & safety on site.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the programme and required standards.
• Attending site meetings and assisting with project coordination.
• Maintaining high standards of site organisation and housekeeping.
• Working closely with the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery.

We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager with a solid construction background and previous experience working on steel frame projects.

You should have:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or similar site-based role.
• Proven steel frame construction experience - essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety and site management.
• Experience managing and coordinating subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a project team and drive progress on site.
• Relevant construction qualifications, including SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS, would be advantageous.
