ADR Class 2 HGV Driver

Location: West Thurrock

Salary: £43,163 per annum + London Waiting Rate + £24.43 over time rate

Hours: Monday to Friday
We're recruiting for an experienced ADR Class 2 HGV Driver to join a well-established operation based in West Thurrock.

This role involves the safe and timely delivery of hazardous chemicals to customers across the UK, ensuring full compliance with all health, safety, and transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport hazardous chemicals in bulk to customer sites nationwide
• Maintain full compliance with ADR regulations, Driver’s Hours, and the Working Time Directive
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of UK road networks and route planning
• Wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, transport teams, and colleagues
• Ensure deliveries are completed to the highest standards of safety and service
• Uphold all health, safety, and quality standards at all times

Experience & Qualifications Required

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
• ADR certification (Class 8 & 9 essential)
• DCPC qualification
• Maximum of 6 points on licence
• Previous experience transporting hazardous goods
• Strong understanding of compliance and safety procedures
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach

Pay & Benefits

• £41,906 annual salary
• Overtime paid at £23.72 per hour
• 25 days holiday, plus public bank holidays
• Increases by 1 day per year after 5 years’ service (up to a maximum of 30 days)
