Manufacturing Engineer

Up to -39.89 (Inside IR35 / Umbrella) + 12-Month Contract + On-site Role + Project Ownership + NPI + Process Improvement

Are you a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer or Production Engineer looking for a technically-challenging contract where you can take ownership of improvement projects in a world-class engineering environment?

On offer is a varied role combining project delivery, process engineering and hands-on shopfloor support across assembly and final assembly operations, where you will drive real change from concept through to implementation.

This well-established, high-volume engineering business is known for quality and continuous improvement. Due to continued demand and growth across their manufacturing operation, they are now looking to add two Manufacturing Engineers to support ongoing projects and new product introduction activity.

In this role you will deliver manufacturing engineering projects, support NPI/manufacturing readiness, and develop and improve processes. You will create and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans and Standard Work, support validation builds and process capability studies, and investigate issues using structured root-cause analysis techniques, working closely with production, quality, design and suppliers.

This role would suit a Manufacturing Engineer with a lean/continuous improvement background, strong problem-solving skills and experience delivering projects in a production environment, looking for responsibility, variety and technically engaging work.

The Role:

• Deliver manufacturing engineering projects from concept through implementation
• Support NPI activities and manufacturing readiness across assembly/final assembly
• Create and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans and Standard Work documentation
• Drive lean / continuous improvement, validation builds and process capability studies
• On-site role, 12-month contract

The Person:

• Manufacturing Engineering experience within a production / high-volume environment
• Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement and project delivery experience
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capability
