Stainless Steel Tank Builder / Sheet Metal Worker Location: Swadlincote, DerbyshirePay: £19.93 per hour + £2.41 holiday payHours: 39 hours per weekContract: Temp-to-PermOvertime: Time and a half and double time availableWe are looking for an experienced Stainless Steel Tank Builder / Sheet Metal Worker to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in Swadlincote.This is a great opportunity for a skilled, time-served fabricator looking for long-term work, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.The Role You will be responsible for manufacturing stainless steel tanks, vessels and associated components, working from engineering drawings and ensuring a high standard of workmanship throughout the fabrication process.Duties will include: Fabricating stainless steel tanks and vessels from engineering drawings.Measuring, marking out, cutting, rolling and forming stainless steel sheet and plate.Rolling material to the required diameter for vessel fabrication, including working with material around 4mm thick.Fabricating cones and other formed components.TIG welding stainless steel, with MIG welding experience also beneficial.Dressing welds, polishing and finishing components to achieve a high-quality hygienic finish.Carrying out quality checks and ensuring finished products meet specifications.Working safely and efficiently to meet production deadlines.
