In this role, you will be providing 1:1 support to a child who requires assistance in managing their behaviour and improving their attention span in class.About the Role:As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working closely with a child who faces challenges with behaviour and attention. Your main responsibility will be helping the child manage and regulate their behaviour in the classroom, ensuring that they are able to focus and participate in lessons. You will work with the child on a personalised plan, helping them develop positive behaviours and coping strategies.Your key responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 support to a child with behavioural difficulties, focusing on improving attention and managing behaviourUsing de-escalation techniques to help the child stay calm and engaged in lessonsImplementing personalised behaviour strategies to encourage positive outcomes and emotional regulationSupporting the child with social skills development and fostering positive relationships with peersWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies as neededHelping the child feel more confident
