Day Shift Team Leader Location: Grays, Essex Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Industry: Industrial Operations / Manufacturing The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Day Shift Team Leader to join a major new industrial facility in the Essex area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational leader to join a significant new project during its construction and commissioning phases, helping establish safe working practices, develop a high-performing team and prepare the facility for full operational activity. Working closely with engineering, operations and site management teams, you will provide day-to-day leadership, support operational performance and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the culture, standards and long-term success of a new facility, while developing your experience within a technically complex industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day activities of the Operations team, supporting the Operations Manager in maintaining safe and efficient plant operations. Provide visible leadership, coaching and development to operational staff and deputy team leaders. Supervise contractors working on site, ensuring all activities comply with safe systems of work and relevant safety procedures.
