Job Title: R&D Electronics Engineer
Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire (on-site)
Salary: Circa £32,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

We’re working with a specialist electronics manufacturer whose products are used globally in the utilities sector. As part of their continued growth, they’re looking to bring in an R&D Electronics Engineer to join their team in Dewsbury.

This is a role with clear career development built in. You’ll be working across new product development from concept through to completion, with training and mentoring to help you grow your skills and responsibilities over time.

It’s ideal for someone with a couple of years’ experience in electronics, a real interest in embedded systems, and the ambition to be part of a close-knit R&D team working on products that have real-world impact.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting new product development projects from start to finish.
• Working with analogue, digital and power electronics.
• Designing and testing circuits, including high-current DC power.
• Programming embedded systems using Embedded C (and occasionally Assembly).
• Contributing ideas and improvements as part of a collaborative R&D team.
• Supporting verification, validation and documentation processes.
• Liaising with production colleagues to ensure smooth handover from design to build.

What you’ll need:

• At least 2 years’ experience in an electronics role.
• Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
• Some exposure to high-current DC systems (ideal but not essential).
• Experience in Embedded C programming.
• A problem-solving mindset and the confidence to ask questions.
• A genuine interest in R&D and new product development.
