Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location : Borehamwood

Salary : £17.00 - £18.00

Hours : 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday

Duration: Tempingminimum of 12 – 20 weeks

Purpose of the role

The Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting core financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with month-end where possible

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly reporting activities across multiple accounts and currencies
• Maintain sales and purchase ledgers, including invoicing, intercompany recharges, and reconciliations
• Oversee bank controls, supplier payments, expenses, and credit card reconciliations
• Validate purchase invoices, monitor exceptions, and support strong financial controls
• Supporting month-end processes, including the calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be highly beneficial

Skills and Attributes:

• Part-qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent),
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records and spot discrepancies quickly
• Experience in transactional and month-end processes
• Confident user of accounting systems and Excel
• Organised and reliable, able to manage deadlines, prioritise workloads, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
