Search Consultancy is recruiting an experienced Painter & Decorator for an active project in Newcastle upon Tyne. Paying a competitive -21.00 per hour (CIS), this role offers excellent site continuity and steady hours for a detail-oriented tradesperson capable of delivering clean, high-spec commercial or residential finishes.

Working alongside site supervisors and interior finishing teams, you will execute high-quality internal and external painting and decorating:

• Surface Preparation: Washing down, scraping, sanding, filling, and priming surfaces (plasterboard, timber, masonry, and metalwork) to ensure clean, smooth substrates.

• Paint Application: Applying primers, undercoats, gloss, emulsions, and specialist coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray systems to high standard finishes.

• Internal & External Decorating: Executing internal wall, ceiling, and trim painting, as well as external woodwork or cladding treatments where required.

• Cleanliness & Protection: Masking off surrounding surfaces, using dust sheets to protect floors and fixtures, and keeping working areas clean and hazard-free.

• Quality Assurance: Delivering sharp lines, uniform coverage, and snag-free finishes that meet project specifications and building standards.

To satisfy site access rules and safety regulations, all applicants must possess:

• CSCS Card: A valid Blue (Skilled Worker) or Gold (Advanced Craft / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating) CSCS card is strictly mandatory.

• Trade Background: Proven track record in commercial, domestic, or industrial painting and decorating.

• Tools & Kit: Full painter''s tool kit (brushes, rollers, extension poles, filling knives, sanding kit, masking tools), whites, and standard 5-point PPE.

• Transport: Reliable transport to commute to site locations in Newcastle upon Tyne daily.

• Right to Work: Valid proof of right to work in the UK.

• Top Market Pay: Strong rate of -21.00 per hour paid under CIS.
