Job Description: Role Overview Asbestos Surveyors and Asbestos Analysts are responsible for inspecting, assessing, and monitoring buildings or structures to identify the presence and condition of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). The roles involve conducting surveys and/or analytical work, collecting samples, assessing risks, and preparing detailed reports that outline findings and recommend actions for the safe management or removal of asbestos. All work must comply with local regulations and industry standards, with health and safety as the highest priority. Key ResponsibilitiesAsbestos Surveys and Inspections Conduct asbestos surveys (Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition) on a variety of properties. Inspect sites thoroughly to identify materials that may contain asbestos, such as insulation, flooring, ceiling tiles, pipe lagging, and roofing materials. Sample Collection, Testing and Analysis Collect samples of suspected asbestos-containing materials for laboratory analysis. For Analysts, carry out air monitoring, reassurance testing, and four-stage clearances as required. Ensure all samples and analytical work are completed in line with health, safety, and contamination control standards. Risk Assessment and Monitoring Assess the condition of ACMs and determine the level of risk to health.
