We are looking for confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Chester. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will ensure students remain engaged with the work that has been set, maintain high standards of behaviour, and help create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate.
• Report back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student engagement.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school procedures at all times.
