The Role - Individual Support Assistant

As an Individual Support Assistant, you will provide personalised 1:1 support tailored to the pupil''s individual needs. The successful Individual Support Assistant will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions and adapt learning in line with the pupil''s Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).

This Individual Support Assistant role requires a proactive and nurturing approach, supporting communication strategies, encouraging independence, and helping the pupil to fully engage in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities - Individual Support Assistant

• Deliver high-quality 1:1 support as an Individual Support Assistant
• Implement tailored learning strategies aligned with the EHCP
• Support communication and engagement within the classroom
• Encourage independence while providing guidance and reassurance
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

• Pay: -90- -100 per day (depending on experience)
• Hours: Full-time (8:30am - 3:30pm)
• Setting: Mainstream Primary School
• Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
