This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can identify issues independently and act without needing direction.Key responsibilities include:Opening and locking school buildings and ensuring site securityCarrying out routine site inspections and compliance checksGeneral maintenance and minor repairs (painting, fixtures, shelving etc.)Basic plumbing tasks (unblocking sinks, replacing tap washers etc.)Monitoring heating, lighting systems, and replacing bulbs where requiredCleaning duties to maintain hygiene standardsGrounds maintenance including litter picking, waste disposal, and snow/ice clearancePorterage duties including moving furniture and equipmentAssisting with alarm systems and emergency proceduresCarrying out health and safety checks and reporting hazardsSupporting maintenance of sports equipment where requiredResponding to urgent maintenance issues and emergenciesThe PersonThe successful candidate will:Have previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or similar rolePossess strong DIY and practical skillsBe proactive and able
