We are recruiting for a Junior Buyer to join an established engineering and manufacturing business, supporting daily procurement operations, supplier management and purchase order administration.Working closely with internal departments and external suppliers, you will ensure purchasing information remains accurate, deliveries are monitored and procurement activities run efficiently across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase Order Management: Maintain accurate purchase order records within the ERP system, ensuring delivery dates, supplier information and supporting documentation remain up to date and compliant with internal procedures.Supplier Communication and Expediting: Liaise with suppliers to obtain order acknowledgements, confirm delivery schedules, chase outstanding orders and proactively identify potential delays that could impact production.Procurement Reporting and Data Analysis: Support the preparation of supplier On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) reports, monitor procurement KPIs and maintain accurate data to help identify supplier performance trends and opportunities for improvement.Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with Engineering, Planning, Goods-In and Finance to resolve purchasing queries, address delivery discrepancies and maintain effective communication across the business.Buying Support and Development: Provide operational support and cover for Buyers during periods of absence, develop knowledge of key suppliers and purchasing processes, and ..... full job details .....
